Suzie Meklir Traulsen Uses Technology To Restore More Than Hair

The Hair Revitalizing Institute offers an FDA approved therapy for hair loss and hair restoration.  Low Level Light Laser Therapy (LLLT) is a treatment that uses laser light to stimulate hair follicles resulting in regrowth, increased strength and elasticity.

Suzie Meklir Traulsen knows first hand how devastating hair loss can be.  15 years ago, prior to opening the Hair Revitalizing Institute, she lost 80% of her hair due to alopecia.  “I’m a very social person, so to have hair loss was embarrassing”

“For woman our hair is our femininity, for men, it’s their strength,” remarks Traulsen.

At the time Traulsen lived in Michigan. She worked with a top engineer from General Motors and developed a hood that emits cold laser light. It looks similar to a dryer hood in a beauty salon.  Traulsen opened her first clinic in Detroit, Michigan in 2009. In May of 2016 she joined the practice of Terese Taylor, M.D. on Del Prado Blvd. in Cape Coral.

Androgenetic alopecia is the most common cause of hair loss and affects 50% of males over the age of 40 and 75% of females over the age of 65.  In addition, hair loss can result from other causes such as chemotherapy, hormone changes and malnutrition, just to name a few.  LLLT treatment sessions consist of sitting under the light device for 60 minutes, 2-3 times a week.  The therapy requires no surgery, drugs, or maintenance.  It works by applying healing properties to the hair, also known as photobiogenesis. Multiple clinical studies have shown the effectiveness of LLLT in treating hair loss.

Traulsen has received two patents for her therapy and has appeared on TV Shows including The View, The Doctors and Dr Oz.

Men and woman from all over the world can benefit from LLLT.  Traulsen uses Skype for a consultation and is able to provide an at home hood for treatment.

The Hair Revitalizing Institute also provides a specialty line of hair care products including shampoos and conditioners, topical serums and styling products as part of the treatment regimen.
