Mason Jar Oats

Fuel Up With These Simple and Clean
Jar Oatmeal Recipes

Your mom said it to you, you’ve said it to your kids…”You’ve got to eat breakfast!”. For years nutritionists have agreed that it’s the most important meal of the day. All too often, we rush out the door without properly fueling up. This can lead to feeling tired or overeating later in the day. These overnight oats are so simple and great to grab and go for a nutritious first meal of the day. You can really mix anything in, but here are a few of our favs:

Jar Oat Base:
(Start with a Mason jar)

1/2 cup dry whole oats (uncooked)

1 cup skim or almond milk (We like the almond/coconut blend!)

2-3 spoonfuls of plain or vanilla yogurt. (Greek or regular.)

1 tbsp honey or 1-2 packets of stevia, your choice!

1 tbsp chia seeds

Peanut Butter Banana:

Add above ingredients AND

1/2 Banana sliced

1 T Peanut butter or nut butter of choice

1-2 dashes of cinnamon.

Berry Blitz:

Add above ingredients AND

1/2 cup raspberries, blueberries
 and strawberries (Fresh or frozen.)

1-2 dashes of cinnamon

1 dash vanilla extract

Peachy Pie:

1/2 cup chopped peaches
 (Fresh, canned or frozen)

1-2 pinches cinnamon

1 dash vanilla extract

Put all ingredients in the jar and shake it like you mean it! Refridgerate overnight. For a thinner consistency, use more milk, for thicker oats add more yogurt. In the morning, shake again or stir with a spoon and enjoy!
