This one's for the gents! 1

I may start trouble, but I’ll say it, anyway. It’s not easy being a man in the 21st century! Just as women’s roles have changed, so have our ideas about masculinity. Bread-winning, succeeding, giving and leading are difficult roles for anyone to fulfill. Balancing family and a career can be difficult not just for women, but men too. For most of us, it’s not the hard work that’s difficult, but finding inspiration. In this issue we hope to inspire readers by focusing on successful men who impact our community in positive ways.

Amazing things are happening in Cape Coral. Our economy is on the rise, our housing marking is making a comeback and we even landed ourselves in Forbes Magazine as the fastest growing city. Cape Coral is a relatively new city and many of the men in this month’s feature have grown up alongside it. They take pride in Cape Coral’s development and work hard protecting its future. Many are enjoying the freedom of entrepreneurship, accepting great responsibilities and giving back through philanthropy. Some are shaping our young people through education, discipline and athletics. Winston Churchill said, “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.” The men featured in this issue epitomize this idea. This group of gentlemen is truly inspirational. They share a love for this community and root for its citizens!
