Brian Hamman, Lee County Commissioner
Brian Hamman’s interest in serving the public began when his father took him with him when he voted. Even as a small child, Brian knew he wanted to get involved and be proactive in his community.
Before becoming a commissioner in 2013, Brian was the market development manager at CenturyLink, and he also worked as a television news reporter for 10 years.
Beyond local politics, Brian’s greatest passion is being a dad to his two small children, Kaitlyn and Jacob, and spending time with his family.

Dane Eagle, State Representative and Majority Whip, Florida House of Representatives; Commercial Real Estate Broker, CRE Consultants
State Rep. Dane never expected to run for office, but he decided to seize the opportunity in 2012 when he ran and won the open seat for District 77. He was just 29. He believes his passion for Cape Coral empowers him to fight for his constituents’ interests in the capital.
Dane has also been a licensed Realtor since he was 19.
When he’s not working in Cape Coral or Tallahassee, Dane enjoys being with family and friends, especially at the beach.

Nick Libretto, Owner, ABC Pest Control
Nick Libretto knows and loves Cape Coral. He was a member of the first graduating class of Cape Coral High School and spent 15 years as a member of the Cape Coral Fire Department.
Now his main job is running the family business, ABC Pest Control.
When he has free time, Nick enjoys sailing and coaching football, but his real passion is collecting fire trucks. His fire truck is often a major attraction at local events to raise awareness and fundraise to fight cancer.

Chris Shaw, Morning Anchor, Fox 4 News
Even as a relative newcomer to Southwest Florida, Chris Shaw is already a recognizable face as a morning anchor on Fox 4 News. He decided to go into journalism once he realized he’d probably never be a professional baseball player—when he was in sixth grade. That early career decision was obviously a good one!
Although he wakes up at 2:30 a.m. most mornings, Chris really enjoys exploring the Cape’s parks, bike paths and restaurants. Chris and his family love living in Southwest Florida and look forward to making many more memories here.

Steve Teuber, Member, Lee County School Board; Attorney
Steve Teuber cares deeply about education and the children of our community. His initial interest in the local educational system stemmed from problems he had trying to hire skilled tradesmen many years ago.
He has since worked with the Boy Scouts, Odyssey of the Mind and the Big Brother organization.
While his professional background is in manufacturing and practicing law, Steve’s real passion has been working to improve educational opportunities for students in Lee County.

Joe Mazurkiewicz, President, BJM Consulting Inc.
It seems like everyone in Cape Coral knows and loves Joe Mazurkiewicz. The popular former four-term mayor—he was first elected in 1983 at age 31—now runs a nonprofit consulting firm that helps government and community organizations work together.
Now, Joe’s passion is to enrich younger generations with leadership skills, get them involved in the community and active in activities to better their lives.
When he’s not working, Joe adores seeing his five daughters and his eight grandchildren.

Joe Francioni, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, The Smart Companies Inc., the parent company of Storm Smart
Joe Francionigot an early start in the family business. He was only 14 when he started doing the company’s books, and, within a few years, he was fully involved in company operations.
He also currently serves as chairman of both the Chamber of Commerce of Cape Coral and the Council for Progress and previously served as president of the CCCIA.
Aside from work and volunteering, Joe loves spending time with his family and enjoying the tropical paradise that is Southwest Florida.

Carmine Marceno, Undersheriff, Lee County Sheriff’s Office
According to Carmine Marceno, law enforcement is a state of mind that is generated by an appreciation for family, friends and community. He’s had a passion to work in law enforcement since childhood, and he attended the FBI Academy in Virginia.
He also has a passion for sports and plays ice hockey every chance he gets.
Carmine enjoys attending community events where he meets locals, and he loves dining out at his favorite Italian restaurants.
